چکیده
Abstract Background Influenza viruses are a continuous threat to avian and mammalian species, causing epidemics pandemics. After the circulation of H5N1 in 2006, 2015, 2016 Iraq, an H5N8 influenza virus emerged domestic geese Sulaymaniyah Province, Iraq. This study analyzed genetic characteristics Iraqi viruses. Results An HPAI subtype was identified from backyard Kurdistan Region, north Phylogenic analyses hemagglutinin (HA) neuraminidase (NA) genes indicated that Iraq belonged clade 2.3.4.4 group B clustered with isolates Iran, Israel, Belgium. Genetic analysis HA gene molecular markers for avian-type receptors. Characterization NA showed had sensitive antiviral drugs. Genetic Characterization of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (H5N8) Virus from Domestic Ducks, England, November 2014
Genetic sequences of a highly pathogenic avian influenza (H5N8) virus in England have high homology to those detected in mainland Europe and Asia during 2014. Genetic characterization suggests this virus is an avian-adapted virus without specific affinity for zoonoses. Spatio-temporal detections of H5N8 imply a role for wild birds in virus spread.
متن کاملA novel highly pathogenic H5N8 avian influenza virus isolated from a wild duck in China
Migrating wild birds are considered natural reservoirs of influenza viruses and serve as a potential source of novel influenza strains in humans and livestock. During routine avian influenza surveillance conducted in eastern China, a novel H5N8 (SH-9) reassortant influenza virus was isolated from a mallard duck in China. blast analysis revealed that the HA, NA, PB1, PA, NP, and M segments of SH...
متن کاملGenetic Characterization of a Natural Reassortant H3N8 Avian Influenza Virus Isolated from Domestic Geese in Guangxi, Southern China
A H3N8 subtype of avian influenza virus, A/goose/Guangxi/020G/2009(H3N8) (GX020G), was isolated from the Guangxi Province of China in 2009. All eight gene segments of the GX020G strain were sequenced. Sequence analysis indicated that this H3N8 virus is a novel reassortant strain. The genome sequences provide useful information for understanding the epidemiology and molecular characteristics of ...
متن کاملInfluenza A(H5N8) Virus Similar to Strain in Korea Causing Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza in Germany
Highly pathogenic avian influenza (H5N8) virus, like the recently described H5N8 strain from Korea, was detected in November 2014 in farmed turkeys and in a healthy common teal (Anas crecca) in northeastern Germany. Infected wild birds possibly introduced this virus.
متن کاملCharacterization of a highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza A virus isolated from duck meat.
Since the 1997 H5N1 influenza virus outbreak in humans and poultry in Hong Kong, the emergence of closely related viruses in poultry has raised concerns that additional zoonotic transmissions of influenza viruses from poultry to humans may occur. In May 2001, an avian H5N1 influenza A virus was isolated from duck meat that had been imported to South Korea from China. Phylogenetic analysis of th...
